Who are The Slouches?
The Slouches are a dixieland, punk, polka band I play in with Matt Van (Electric Six, Mustard Plug), Matt Woody (The Proud House of Schmucks (PHS), Babe Miller Band), and Adam Bridgewater (Maceday). We have a lot of fun performing together and my favorite shows are the ones we’re people start dancing and just having a good time.
I like writing upbeat, harmonious songs. Songs that are fun, but also meaningful. Songs that put you in a better mood when you’re having a bad day. Songs that pair well with kick drum beats and bass lines that get you moving and face melting rocking guitar riffs that blow you mind. That’s why it’s been a blast playing in The Slouches. Everyone brings their solid skills and their desire to have fun playing these songs. It’s a wonderful thing.
